Vote to approve the Annual Community Child Protection Team (CCPT) and Child Fatality Prevention Team (CFPT) Reports
Abstract
Introduction & Background: Each year the CCPT-CFPT is required to submit a report to the local Board of Commissioners. CCPT reports are written based on the calendar year. The chairs plan to present both team reports at the end of the fiscal year but request approval of this report to be submitted to DHHS.
Discussion & Analysis: NA
How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: The work of this team is in alignment with the goal of “Foster a Healthy Community.” A growing body of research indicates a connection between adverse childhood experiences (ACES), including child abuse and neglect, and poor health outcomes in adulthood.
