Vote on a request to approve the purchase of property by the Town of Cary

Abstract
Action Requested: Vote on a request to approve the purchase of property in Chatham County for the construction of a wastewater pump station

Introduction & Background: The Town of Cary has been working to acquire property and easement for a new pump station in the northern portion of the joint use area for over a year. The site and easement (approximately 4-acres in total) is a portion of the 65-acre parcel located in Chatham County. Discussion & Analysis: This project has already received most of the construction permits, design plans are complete, and we are planning to submit for Chatham County site plan review. It provides build out capacity for the future service area, which includes sewer service area in Chatham County within the Chatham/Cary Joint Land Use area. The service area south of Wake Road in Chatham County is designated as very low density residential according to the Joint Land Use Plan. The project will also provide capacity for Wake RTP and the western part of Cary located in Wake County....
