ABSTRACT
Action Requested: Vote on a request to approve the contract for Ellington Contracting to serve as the Contractor for the Government Annex - Phase II Renovations project.
Introduction & Background: Chatham County received bids on August 20, 2020 for the Government Annex - Phase II Renovations project. The project consists of the renovation of approximately 4,000 sq ft of office space currently housing the County’s Finance Office along with some exterior improvements. This project is an extension of the previous renovations that included the Manager’s Office and Register of Deeds Office. In the bid process, Ellington Contracting was identified as the apparent low bidder. After scope review and confirmation of the bid as being responsible and responsive, it is being recommended that the Board of Commissioners approve the contract for Ellington Contracting allowing them to begin the project.
Discussion & Analysis: It is being requested that the BOC approve the contract for Ellington Contracting to perform as the Contractor for the Government Annex - Phase II Renovations project.
