Abstract

Action Requested: Vote on a request to accept $35,158 COVID-19 CARES Act -Crisis Response Epidemiology-Communicable Disease Branch Funds

                     

Introduction & Background: The intention of this funding is to rapidly establish and monitor key activities related to COVID-19 in the areas of epidemiology, laboratory, and informatics.  Monitoring the indicators associated with these activities are intended to assist State, local, and territorial governments in making data-driven policy decisions regarding testing, mitigation, and prevention efforts

                     

Discussion & Analysis: This Activity is for the Local Health Department to work to prevent, prepare for, and respond to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) by carrying out surveillance, epidemiology, laboratory capacity, infection control, mitigation, communications, and other preparedness and response activities.
