Abstract
Action Requested: Vote on a request granting Dan LaMontagne as County Manager the ability to sign the Guaranteed Maximum Price Exhibit adding the cost of construction of the new Animal Services facility to Bordeaux Construction Company’s existing Construction Manager contract.
Introduction & Background: The design was completed and the Construction Manager bid the project and has assembled the pricing for the construction phase of the new Animal Shelter. The A133 Exhibit A is needed to add the construction cost to Bordeaux Construction Company’s original Construction Manager contract. This request grants the County Manager’s authority to sign up to, but not in excess of $5,600,000.
Discussion & Analysis: Upon approval of the Exhibit, the Construction Manager will be able to begin construction with anticipated completion in mid-2021.
How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: Foster a healthy community - help the communities better handle, serve, and manage the animals in the County.
Budgetary Impact: This project has been accounted for within the approved County CIP plan.
