Action Requested: Vote on a request to approve an agreement between the County and the North Carolina 911 Board for the grant award in the amount of $2,339,608 for the radio system upgrade project and authorize the County Manager to execute the agreement.
Introduction & Background: This grant was awarded for the approved CIP project, county-wide Motorola P25 radio system upgrade.
Discussion & Analysis: The county radio system will be upgraded to the Motorola P25 700/800 MHz system in collaboration with the North Carolina Voice Interoperability Plan for Emergency Responders (VIPER) system.
