Action Requested: Approve amended project ordinance as proposed by staff
Introduction & Background: Section 13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina states that a project ordinance shall be adopted by the governing board for all capital projects.
Discussion & Analysis: Attached is an amended project ordinance for the Perry Harrison Elementary Traffic Pattern project. Bids came in slightly higher than anticipated in the current approved CIP. Cost savings realized in the Locker Room Renovation project and the Roof Replacements project will be used to cover the overage.
Budgetary Impact: The project budget for the Perry Harrison Elementary Traffic Pattern project totals $471,000, a $29,950 increase over the current approved CIP.
Recommendation: Motion to approve amended project ordinances as proposed by staff.
