Action Requested: Vote on a Request to Approve Amendment #FY19-1960-1 for contract #FY19-1960 between Chatham County Department of Social Services and Sister 2 Sister Solutions.
Introduction & Background: Due to an increase in Non-Emergency Medicaid Transportation (NEMT) services Chatham County Department of Social Services is requesting approval of the amendment.
Page 1of the contract documents reflect:
5. County's Duties: The Division of Medical Assistance shall pay the Contractor in the manner and in the amount specified in the Contract Documents. The total amount paid by the County to the Contractor under this contract is $98,500 for Medicaid Transportation services.

5. County's Duties: The Division of Medical Assistance shall pay the Contractor in the manner and in the amount specified in the Contract Documents. The total amount paid by the County to the Contractor under this contract is $122,500 for Medicaid Transportation services.
Discussion & Analysis: In order to conduct the agency's business in a manner that meets federal and state standards, helps clients achieve satisfactory outcomes, and meets community expectations, Chatham County Department of Social Services must contract with an array of providers. The contract listed above is necessary and essential for the agency to properly conduct business.

Budgetary Impact: The Department of Social Services authorizes NEMT payments through the state NCTRACKS system for Sister 2 Sister Solutions to receive reimbursement. No funds are being requested.
