Introduction & Background:
The Chatham County Appearance Commission (CCAC) is evaluating options to develop new land development design guidelines for the future growth of the County. As part of that process they have an interest in developing a visual inventory of the major corridors in the county’s jurisdiction. Their interest is in preserving the rural character of the county and protect environmentally sensitive areas. Future standards and guidelines will be developed and recommended for consideration by the Commissioners within the revised design guidelines
