Vote on a request to approve a request from The Sprott Youth Center (SYC) Board of Directors for $25,000 the complete the renovations at the Center.
Abstract
The Sprott Youth Center (SYC) Board of Directors is requesting to use the remaining $25,000.00 renovation monies to complete the renovation at the Center, as follow:
• Landscaping.
• Playground completion. We need this for the Afterschool program and summer camp.
• Add concrete “play pad” in back parking lot for kids to play on with a basketball goal.
• Complete HVAC duct work to kitchen and bathrooms.
• Shelving in the kitchen.
• Keyless entry for gym door.
• Video cameras in gym.
• Pads for behind basketball goals.
• More computers and software.
• Steps up to ramp on side of building.
• Additional bleachers for gym.
The Board of Directors was unaware that the remaining funds needed to be used in a certain timeframe, and now sees the need for this additional work to be done.
