Action Requested: Approve amended project ordinances as proposed by staff
Introduction & Background: Section 13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina states that a project ordinance shall be adopted by the governing board for all capital projects.
Discussion & Analysis: Attached are amended project ordinances for the following projects: the Central Carolina Business Campus Project, the Briar Chapel Park Improvements Project, the Seaforth High School Project, the Chatham Grove Elementary School Project, the Mobile Classrooms Project, and the Northwood HVAC Replacement Project. All of these project ordinances have been amended to reflect the most current project total estimates as recently approved by the Board of Commissioners in the FY 2019-2025 Capital Improvements Program.
Budgetary Impact: The project budget for the Business Campus project totals $8,890,176. The project budget for the Briar Chapel Park project totals $1,809,526. The project budget for the Seaforth High School project totals $69,758,570. The project budget for the Chatham Grove Elementary project totals $31,340,266. The project budget for the Mobile Classrooms project totals $1,331,695. The project budget for the Northwood HVAC Replacement project totals $234,605.
