Action Requested: Motion to adopt the proposed Animal Shelter Expansion and Renovation Project Ordinance
Introduction & Background: Section 13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina states that a project ordinance shall be adopted by the governing board for all capital projects.
Discussion & Analysis: Attached is a proposed project ordinance for the Animal Shelter Expansion and Renovation Project. The project ordinance reflects the estimates presented in the FY2019-2025 Approved Capital Improvements Program, with the exception of the feasibility study which was funded out of the general fund.
Budgetary Impact: The budget for the Animal Shelter Expansion and Renovation Project totals $4,614,056 and will be funded with capital reserve funds.
