Action Requested: Vote on a request to approve the boundary line agreement and to convey 0.12 acres between Chatham County and the Pittsboro Community Cemetery and authorize the County Manager to sign the agreement
Introduction & Background:
The County and the Cemetery are owners of adjoining tracts of real estate located west of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. During a survey for the Pittsboro Collection Center, owned by the County, it was discovered that a grave site is located within the County’s parcel. The county has agreed to convey approximately 0.12 acres, which includes the grave site, and to establish a true dividing line between the respective properties. This conveyance will not negatively impact the collection center and will confirm the new boundary line between the properties
