Abstract

Action Requested:

Vote to approve a License between the County and Army Corps of Engineers for the operation and maintenance of communications equipment on the B. Everett Jordan Corps Communication Tower and utility and equipment storage buildings on the lands of B. Everett Jordan Dam and Lake Project.

                     

Introduction & Background:

The County has leased the communication tower for several years for Emergency Operations. The Army Corps of Engineers has notified the county that it wishes to change from a lease agreement to a licensing agreement for a term of two years beginning April 14, 2017 and ending April 13, 2022 for a total cost of $750.  At the end of this term, the tower ownership will revert to the County.
