Vote to approve the appointment of Loyda Estrada to the Chatham County Board of Social Services.
Introduction & Background:
County Commission appointee, Patty Poe’s term will expire on June 30, 2017. Patty has served two terms, and is therefore, ineligible for reappointment.
Discussion & Analysis:
Loyda Estrada is a resident of Siler City. She is currently employed by Chatham Literacy as a Student Coordinator. Her work experience has been in the Human Resources, Interpreter, Translator and Medical Clerk areas. She is also currently enrolled at CCCC pursuing her Business Administration Degree. The DSS Board unanimously supports the nomination of Loyda Estrada.
Budgetary Impact:
Board of Directors compensation is covered by a line item in the budget for FY17-18. No funds are being requested.
Recommendation:
Vote to approve appointment.
