Vote on a request to approve contract for Chatham Transit for Social Services for the fiscal year 07/01/2017 to 06/30/2018
Introduction & Background: The above listed contract is necessary for the Chatham County Department of Social Services to carry out specific functions related to programs administered by the Department. In order for the Department of Social Services to be able to authorize funds dispensed through NCTRACKS and for Chatham Transit to receive reimbursement, a valid contract covering the current fiscal year must be in place.
Discussion & Analysis: In order to conduct the agency’s business in a manner that meets federal and state standards, helps clients achieve satisfactory outcomes, and meets community expectations, Chatham County Department of Social Services must contract with an array of providers. The contract listed above is necessary and essential for the agency to properly conduct business FY 17-18.
Budgetary Impact: Payments are scheduled to be paid through the state NCTRACKS system. If this cannot be achieved by July 1, 2017, contract is covered by a line item in the budget for FY 17-18. No funds are being requested.
Recommendation: Vote to approve the listed contract for Social Services for the fiscal year 07/01/17 to 06/30/18.
