Introduction & Background:
Section 13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina states that a project ordinance shall be adopted by the governing board for all capital projects.
Discussion & Analysis:
Attached is a project ordinance for the Lower Haw River Recreational Trail. The project will consist of providing a one mile natural surface in the Lower Haw Natural Area and a pedestrian bridge across Pokeberry Creek in the amount of $125,000. The project will be funded through a $100,000 Recreational Trail Grant and a $25,000 grant match appropriated and transferred from the General Fund.
Budgetary Impact:
The proposed project ordinance includes a $25,000 transfer from the General Fund budget.
