Abstract
Action Requested: Appoint members to serve on the Board of Equalization and Review.
Introduction & Background: NCGS 105-322(a) - Upon the adoption of a resolution so providing, the Board of Commissioners is authorized to appoint a special Board of Equalization and Review. The resolution shall provide for the membership, qualifications, term of office and the filling of vacancies on the board. The Board of Commissioners shall also designate the chairman of the special board.
Discussion & Analysis: After review and discussion of the applications received, the Board of Commissioners will appoint members to serve on the Board of Equalization and Review.
Budgetary Impact: $15/hour per member of the Board of Equalization and Review. NCGS 105-322(b) - The Board of Commissioners shall fix the compensation and allowances to be paid members of the Board of Equalization and Review for their services and expenses.
