Action Requested: Vote on a request to accept $834 Family Planning Funds
Introduction & Background: This Agreement Addendum Revision #1 provides one-time additional Healthy Mothers, Healthy Children (HMHC) Title V funding to this Local Health Department to assist with the purchase of contraceptives and medical supplies in the Family Planning Clinic.
Discussion & Analysis: These funds are for providing contraceptive services, pregnancy testing and counseling, achieving pregnancy, basic infertility services, pre-conception health, sexually transmitted disease (STD) services and related preventive health services (e.g., screening for breast and cervical cancer).
The purchasing of contraceptives and medical supplies are required in order to provide obligatory family planning clinical services.
Budgetary Impact: No Local Funding Required
