Action Requested: Vote on a request to accept $12,681 Public Health Preparedness Funds for Zika Education and response.
Introduction & Background: In FY 2016 NCPHP&R allowed the use of funds originally provided for Ebola response to be shifted to Zika response. Funds that were not used in FY 16 were carried over to FY 17 and additional Zika funding was provided by NCPHP&R from the CDC.
Discussion & Analysis: Zika funding enables the health department to be proactive in education and response planning for Zika.
