CCCC Geothermal study follow-up report

During the work session for the FY 2017-2023 Capital Improvements Plan (CIP), commissioners asked for information about the addition of a geothermal heating system to the plans for the new CCCC Health Sciences Building at Briar Chapel.
The architect and representatives from CCCC will present the results of a feasibility study and recommendations.
The study shows that an additional acre of land will be needed for the geothermal wells and that the payback is quite long, possibly beyond the useful life of the building.
