Vote on a request by Bradshaw and Robinson, LLP on behalf of NNP- Briar Chapel, LLC to adopt an ordinance permanently closing a portion of Granite Mill Boulevard and Boulder Point Drive.
Introduction & Background:
The previously platted Granite Mill Boulevard and Boulder Point Drive were originally constructed and platted as an intersection. The proposed road closure and realignment of a portion of Granite Mill Boulevard and Boulder Point Drive will result in one continuous road, thus eliminating the current intersection. This closure is linked to the Phase 11 N Final Plat request on the August 17th, 2015 consent agenda. Please reference Attachment 1 for the draft road closure ordinance and Attachment 2 for the supplemental information. A public hearing was held on this request on June 16, 2014 and final action was delayed until the final plat for Phase 11 N was submitted for Commissioner review and approval.
Discussion & Analysis:
As mentioned above, this request has been timed out to link with the approval of Briar Chapel Phase 11 N final plat request. The realigned roadway has been updated on the Phase 11 N plat.
Recommendation:
Receive request and adopt road closure ordinance.
