Recognize retiree David Camp for his retirement from the Chatham County Permits and Inspections Department
Abstract
Introduction & Background: David Camp began work with Chatham County as the permits and inspections director in February 2019 and retires in July 2026 with over 17 years of local government experience. During his tenure he oversaw tremendous growth in the inspections department, the refinement of a competitive incentive pay structure, and the conversion to a software system that promotes greater usability for the county, municipalities, and the public. The county has grown significantly, and his work has positioned us well to address the impacts of that growth into the future. Thank you David, for your service to Chatham County and we wish you the best in your well-deserved retirement.
