Vote on appointments to the Community Advisory Committee for Nursing & Adult Care Homes
Abstract
Action Requested: Approve appointments of four applicants to fill four vacancies on the Community Advisory Committee, as recommended by the committee chairman.
Introduction & Background: The Community Advisory Committee charged with quarterly inspections of the county’s adult care homes and nursing facilities has four vacancies. We had two existing applications on file, so we advertised for additional applicants and received more than enough. The chairman of the committee has worked with the Triangle J Council of Governments ombudsman to this committee to conduct reviews of applications and interviewed several to make sure that they understand the time commitments and requirements. They have forwarded four applicants to be appointed for an initial term of one year, effective May 16, 2016. They would be eligible for a full three-year term after this point. The applications recommended for appointment are:
