Abstract
Introduction & Background: The Chatham County Public Health Department contracts annually with Chatham County Schools to provide funding for two school nurses (through state grant funds) and one School Health and Wellness Program Facilitator position that works closely with wellness instructors to implement the healthful living curriculum.
Discussion & Analysis: This position also coordinates the School Health Advisory Council.
How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: Aligns with the goal to foster a healthy community, starting with Chatham’s younger residents.
Budgetary Impact: The total amount of the contract is $208,000. This contract is already accounted for in the FY25 budget.
