Abstract
Action Requested: Vote on a Request to Approve an Increase in the Inmate Healthcare Agreement with Southern Health Partners, Inc. Due to an Increase in the Daily Population from 70 - 85 Inmates.
Introduction & Background: Southern Health Partners provides all inmate healthcare.
Discussion & Analysis: The Increase is necessary to provide healthcare for the increased inmate population of 15 additional inmates per day.
Budgetary Impact: The new price for 2015-2016 would be $110,333.52 annualized ($9,194.46 per month) based on the 2% annual increase and the additional amount of $2,472.00 for 15 extra inmates (new ADP limit of 85 inmates). The per diem rate would be reduced to $1.50 under this option ($1.50 for each inmate per month in excess of the new limit of 85 inmates).
Recommendation: Approve the Amendment to the current Health Services Agreement with Southern Health Partners, Inc.
