Abstract
Introduction & Background: Rules of Procedure help the Board of Commissioners understand their various responsibilities in all Board business.
Discussion & Analysis: On April 15, 2024, the Chatham County Board of Commissioners approved the current procedures which were developed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the meetings of the Chatham County Board of Commissioners.
At the Board Retreat in January, the Board of Commissioners requested staff do a comparison with other like sized boards and the attorney to do a comparison with the School of Government recommended procedures.
