Action Requested: Vote on a request to reappoint Matthew Stark to the Triangle South Workforce Development Board.
Introduction & Background: Mr. Matthew Stark, the General Manager of Bunkey’s Car Wash of Cary, currently serves on the Triangle South Workforce Development Board as a business representative. Mr. Stark’s current four-year term on the board expires June 30, 2021.
Mr. Stark is eligible for reappointment and has submitted a nomination form for consideration of reappointment to the aforementioned board. Mr. Stark remains an active and participatory board member. Based upon his performance on the board, TSWD Executive Director Rosalind Cross recommends Matthew Stark for reappointment to the Triangle South Workforce Development Board.
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires specific representation on the board and this appointment will allow the board to be in compliance with this regulation. If reappointed, Mr. Stark’s new term would be effective July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2025.
