Action Requested: Vote to accept $270,069 in carryover COVID response funds from NC DHHS (continuation from last fiscal year).
Introduction & Background: These funds are broadly intended to provide critical resources to state, local, and territorial health departments in support of a broad range of COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2 testing and epidemiologic surveillance related activities. They may also be used to upgrade equipment (e.g., vaccine storage units), that support COVID-19 response efforts.
Discussion & Analysis: This carry-over funding will continue to support the public health department’s efforts to respond to COVID-19. This is the final year these funds are expected to roll over.
