Consideration of a request to reopen the public Hearing request from Darren Eck dba Villa Giallo for a conditional use permit for a Bed and Breakfast Inn with no more than six rooms for rent and as further defined in the Chatham County Zoning Ordinance. The property is located at 4352 Pea Ridge Road, New Hill, NC, Parcel No. 5772, Cape Fear Township.
Introduction & Background:
A public hearing was held on this request during the January 19, 2016 Commissioners meeting and was subsequently closed and forwarded to the Planning Board for a recommendation.
Discussion & Analysis:
The Planning Board discussed this item during their meeting on February 2, 2016. During the discussion the applicant requested to revise the application and remove several items to address concerns raised by neighboring property owners. The Planning Board wanted the neighboring property owners to be able to comment on the modifications and requested that the public hearing be reopened. If the Board of Commissioners want to re-open public hearing, staff will re-advertise for the March 21, 2016 meeting.
Recommendation:
Provide direction to staff on reopening the public hearing for the March 21, 2016 meeting.
