Action Requested: Appointment to appoint Mr. Carl Thompson to the Chatham County Board of Social Services
Introduction & Background: Due to resignation of Mr. Manuel Colorado-Reyes who moved out of state and is no longer able to serve on the DSS Board, the Social Services board discussed recommendations for an appointment of a member to succeed Mr. Reyes. The board unanimously agreed to nominate Carl Thompson for this appointment to the board to fill out the remaining term of Mr. Reyes from October, 2015 to June 30, 2018. The Chatham County Board of Commissioners has appointment authority for this position.
