Title

Vote to approve the Right of Way Encroachment Agreement allowing Duke Energy Progress to bore under Progress Blvd.

Abstract

Introduction & Background: Duke Energy Progress has approached Chatham County to execute a Right of Way Encroachment Agreement that will allow Duke to bore under Progress Blvd. for power serving the Siler City Wastewater Treatment Plant project. Chatham County remains the owner of Progress Blvd. and therefore needs to be the granting party.

Discussion & Analysis: Upon approval, and once the project is complete, this encroachment agreement will remain in place should Duke ever need to service the line.

How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: Provide infrastructure to support desired development;

Budgetary Impact: This is a no cost item.

Recommendation/Motion: Motion to approve the Right of Way Encroachment Agreement allowing Duke Energy Progress to bore under Progress Blvd.
