Vote to amend the contract with Trio Community Meals for Nutrition Services
Abstract
Introduction & Background: Chatham County and Trio Community Meals entered into an initial Food Service agreement effective March 18, 2024 which addresses pricing for Congregate Bulk Meals, Home Delivered Pre-Plated Meals, and Frozen Meals. An amendment to the original agreement was agreed to March 18, 2025, which included a pricing adjustment for these categories. Aging Services is requesting an additional 1-year amendment to this agreement beginning March 18, 2026.
Discussion & Analysis: The price of Congregate Bulk meals will increase from $5.38 to $5.60, while Home Delivered Pre-Plated Meals increase from $5.62 to $5.85. The cost per Frozen Meal increases from $4.26 to $4.43.

Budgetary Impact: No significant impact is expected due to anticipated funding from the Home and Community Care Block Grant.
