Action Requested: Recognize this achievement by our Clerk to the Board of Commissioners.
Introduction & Background: In January, Chatham County Clerk to the Board of Commissioners Lindsay K. Ray successfully earned the designation of North Carolina Certified County Clerk. This certification required extensive coursework over the past two years at the School of Government at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Lindsay qualified by completing the Municipal and County Administration Course and by meeting continuing education requirements. Clerks must earn sixty continuing education hours every three years for re-certification.
