Action Requested: Vote on a Resolution to Approve Amendments to the Chatham County Personnel Policy
Introduction & Background: The Chatham County Personnel Policy was first adopted by resolution on March 11, 1996. From time to time, it is necessary to review the current policy and recommend changes that further clarify intent or are no longer relevant or accurate. After careful review, two changes are proposed, both removing sections described below.
Discussion & Analysis: Article VI, Section 7, Advanced Leave is recommended for removal. Administration of the section has proved difficult, and the personnel committee recommends removing the section. Appendix I: Salary Table is also recommended for removal. Inclusion of the table is not necessary, and requires amendment every time the table is updated (usually with a market rate adjustment).
