Vote to accept $1,500 in National Environmental Public Health Internship Program (NEPHIP) Funds to purchase a tablet for food safety inspection work
Abstract
Introduction & Background: The Environmental Health Division submitted an application to the NEPHIP program to enlist the services of an intern this summer to review regulated food service establishment inspection data to develop a risk-based study review and report. The report will include intervention strategies to address the most frequent food safety violations noted during inspections. NEPHIP approved the application and connected us to an ECU master’s candidate.
