Title

Vote on At-Large Appointments to Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee

Abstract

Action Requested:  Select and approve four of the nine applicants to serve on the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee

Introduction & Background:  At the Board of Commissioners meeting on July 20, 2015, the board approved an RFP process for development of a Comprehensive Plan for Chatham County. This includes the formation of a Steering Committee to oversee the process, which will take about two years.  The Steering Committee will be composed of several designees of several county boards and committees, but will also include four at-large appointees of the Board of Commissioners.  We advertised the at-large positions and received 10 applications, but Esta Cohen will instead be serving as the alternate representative of the Agriculture Advisory Board.  This leaves the remaining applicants.  Those who serve on another board or committee are noted.
