Vote on a request to approve a letter to Governor Cooper seeking assistance for victims of Hurricane Florence
Abstract
The Board of Commissioners are asked to approve the attached letter seeking help from the Governor’s Office to secure funds to help Chatham County residents who suffered uninsured damage related to Hurricane Florence. Chatham County did not have overall damage throughout the county to qualify as a FEMA-declared county, but we had several structures destroyed or with severe flood damage. Most of this damage is not covered by traditional property insurance.
