Action Requested: Approve amended project ordinances as proposed by staff
Introduction & Background: Section 13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina states that a project ordinance shall be adopted by the governing board for all capital projects.
Discussion & Analysis: Attached are amended project ordinances for the following projects: the Central Carolina Business Campus Project, the Chatham County Agriculture Center Project, the Schools Roof Replacement Project, and the Nature Trail Water Main Replacement Project. All of these project ordinances have been amended to reflect the most current project total estimates as recently approved by the Board of Commissioners in the FY 2018-2024 Capital Improvements Program.
Budgetary Impact: The project budget for the Business Campus project totals $8,403,860. The project budget for the Agriculture Center project totals $14,418,655. The project budget for the Schools Roof Replacement project totals $6,461,354. The project budget for the Nature Trail Water Main project totals $680,324.
Recommendation: Motion to approve amended project ordinances as proposed by staff.
