Vote to approve the contract amendment with Hobbs Architects adding the Landscape Design for the Master Plan/Space Needs Study
Abstract
Introduction & Background: The County has a contract with Hobbs Architects to perform the necessary work to study the existing space occupied by County departments and develop plans for use of the existing space, expansion into additional needed spaces, and plans for development of the acreage owned by the County near the intersection of Hwy 64 West and Renaissance Drive (future government “campus”) to accommodate the current and anticipated growth the County staff. This contract also incorporates a utilities study to assess and address the future utility needs at the Renaissance property.
Discussion & Analysis: Upon approval of this amendment, Hobbs will be able to begin working with Dewberry & Associates to develop a landscaping plan for the phases of development of the entire Renaissance property. Once complete, Hobbs and their consultants will present their findings and recommendations to the County for review.

Budgetary Impact: This additional work will require additional funds supported by the County Manager’s Office.
