Action Requested: Vote on a request to approve $496.43 Food & Lodging Funds
Introduction & Background: The Summer Food Service Program is funded by the USDA to provide meals/snacks to economically disadvantaged children during the summer. The NC Department of Non Public Instruction provides a list of approved Summer Feeding Sites to NCDHHS that is forwarded to the local health department for inspection/permitting activities. Funding is provided to local health departments for any activities related to inspecting/permitting the sites.
Discussion & Analysis: The Chatham County Public Health Department conducted five permitting/inspection visits for Summer Feeding Sites around Chatham County during the summer of 2015
Budgetary Impact: No Local Funding Requested
Recommendation: Consideration of a request to accept $496.43 Food & Lodging funds from the Department of Public Instruction.
