Abstract
Introduction & Background: The Solid Waste division uses roll-off trucks to move bins of solid waste and recycling from the 12 collection centers to their final destination. These trucks are replaced on a regular duty cycle of approximately every five years.
Discussion & Analysis: Transource is on the State procurement list for heavy duty vehicles. The truck being replaced has been driven over 350,000 miles.
How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: Goal 7 is to “Provide infrastructure to support desired development and support economic and environmental objectives.”
Budgetary Impact: The new truck will cost $249,140.00. This cost is part of the department's approved budget for fiscal year 2027.
