Title

Vote to approve the iWorq Systems, Inc. contract for facilities work order software

Abstract

Introduction & Background: Facilities & Construction along with Solid Waste & Recycling have been using Hippo software for work order management. Hippo has recently become Eptura and that change has resulted in a lack of customer service and a cost increase.  Facilities & Construction and Solid Waste & Recycling sought alternative software options (OpenGov and iWorq) due to the Eptura change. OpenGov was too costly, but iWorq has provided the County with a good, cost-effective option.

Discussion & Analysis: Upon approval of the auto-renewal option, the County will enter into the agreement with iWorq to allow the changeover and integration from Eptura to iWorq to begin. The ability to auto-renew will allow the County to continue with a software program without having to risk the extensive amount of effort and hours it requires to switch this type of software application.

How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: 7. Provide infrastructure to support desired development and support economic and environmental objectives.; 8. Become more resilient by mitigating, responding and adapting to emerging threats.; 10. Foster a healthy community.

Budgetary Impact: The cost for iWorq will result in savings to the County and will be less than the amount currently budgeted for work order software.

Recommendation/Motion: Motion to approve the iWorq Systems, Inc. cotract for facilities work order software.
