Action Requested: Vote on a Request to Approve a Resolution Amending Chatham County Personnel Policy-April 2021
Introduction & Background: The Chatham County Personnel Policy was first adopted by resolution in 1996 and from time to time requires amendments, additions and deletions.
Discussion & Analysis: The Personnel Committee is a multi-departmental committee charged with examining policies and benefits provided to county employees. Previous actions include enhancements to health insurance coverage and the recommendation of a tobacco-free petty leave incentive policy.
It is recommended that an addition is made to the county’s leave provisions (Article VI, Section 20): as follows:
1. Add provision for Paid Parental Leave equivalent to 120 hours in conjunction with use of family and medical leave.
