Title
Elect Vice-Chair from its members
Abstract
Introduction & Background: Each December, during the first regular meeting of the month, the Chatham County Board of Commissioners historically conducts its annual organizational process to elect a Vice Chair.
This tradition ensures continuity of leadership and provides an opportunity for the Board to reaffirm its commitment to collaborative governance.
The election of officers is typically the first order of business following any swearing-in ceremonies for newly elected Commissioners.
The Vice-Chair assumes these responsibilities in the Chair’s absence.
Recommendation/Motion: Elect Vice-Chair from its members.
