Abstract
Introduction & Background: The Chatham County Public Health Department plans to transition its EMR used for clinical services to EPIC effective October 1, 2024. SphereCommerce provides secure payment processing services for medical providers using EPIC.
Discussion & Analysis: The initial term of the contract is three years and may then be auto-renewed in two-year periods.
How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: Relates to Plan Goal #10: Foster a healthy community.
Budgetary Impact: The Chatham County Public Health Department has funding available to cover the cost of implementation this fiscal year and will budget for annual ongoing fees in subsequent fiscal years. No additional funding is requested this fiscal year, and ongoing costs are expected to be lower than those related to the EMR software currently used.
