Abstract
Introduction & Background: Chatham County Solid Waste & Recycling has been repaving and making site improvements at our collection centers over the last several years as part of a capital improvement program.
Discussion & Analysis: The work will take place at the Asbury and Cole Park collection centers. The Asbury site will be repaved, and its center landscaped island will be cleaned up and replanted. At the Cole Park site, the concrete floor drain at the main trash compactor will be replaced.
How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: Become more resilient by mitigating, responding, and adapting to emerging threats.
Budgetary Impact: The project cost is $117,499 and has been included in the departmental budget.
