Action Requested: Vote to approve project ordinance as proposed by staff
Introduction & Background: Section 13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina states that a project ordinance shall be adopted by the governing board for all capital projects.
Discussion & Analysis: Attached is a proposed project ordinance revision for the Chatham County Detention Center Project. Approval will revise the original project ordinance to include all funding sources for the project and more accurately reflect the project as approved in the 2016-2022 Capital Improvements Program.
Budgetary Impact: The total budget for the Detention Center Project is $16,781,728.
Recommendation: Motion to approve project ordinance as proposed by staff.
