Vote to award a bid and approve a contract with Wall Recycling for yard waste debris management

 

Abstract

Introduction & Background: Residents and businesses bring yard waste (vegetative debris) to the main Solid Waste & Recycling facility to be ground into mulch annually. A mobile grinder is brought to the main facility by the contractor and all the yard waste is then ground into mulch and then later sold.

                     

Discussion & Analysis: Approve contract with a Contractor for Yard Debris Management.

 

How does this relate to the Comprehensive Plan: Preserve the rural character and lifestyle of Chatham County.  Become more resilient by mitigating, responding, and adapting to emerging threats.

 

Budgetary Impact: Cost is included in the FY 26 budget.

                     

Recommendation/Motion: Motion to award a bid and approve a contract with Wall Recycling for yard waste debris management.
