body
Background
Juvenile Crime Prevention Councils (JCPC) are created and funded by a state and local partnership in all 100 North Carolina counties. The Department of Justice Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice allocates funding to each county JCPC to be awarded as grants to local programs that address services for court-involved, delinquent, or at-risk youth. Chatham County provides matching funds to the state grant award.
Each year the JCPC prepares an annual plan, attached here. The annual plan includes information on the risk and needs data for Chatham County gathered by the state, the organization of the JCPC, the prioritization for funding, the certification standards and funding plan for Fiscal 2016-2017.
Recommendation
Motion to approve the Chatham JCPC Annual plan including the certification standards and funding plan for FY 2016-2017.
